Driving south from British Columbia on December 19, we crossed the border from Oregon into California, and saw this – which turned out to be 14,000 ft. Mount Shasta, a volcano last active in 1786 – more than forty miles distant. Heather took this picture with my cellphone from our moving vehicle.
