To travel by kayak to the Captain Cook monument, and its associated reefs, one must launch from this bay. When your travellers did it, the water in this narrow bay was definitely not this calm. Note the sentinel rocks at the entrance to the bay! The next picture is a map of their kayak adventure that day.
